Garde-Malade

The Story Behind the Name

Garde-Malade was born from a personal experience shared by its three founders: Frank, Marie, and Steve.

Marie and Steve, a couple for nearly 20 years, went through the journey of Steve’s cancer recovery together. Not to mention Frank, Steve’s father, who attended numerous hospital appointments and is himself a cancer survivor. For months, the three of them were surrounded by dozens upon dozens of healthcare professionals.

Seeing their passion, courage, determination, and dedication, one simple question came to mind: Why don’t such incredible people deserve uniforms that match their excellence?

Garde-Malade is the realization of an idea that had been simmering in the minds of its founders for a long time. It is their way of bringing beauty into a sometimes challenging daily reality.

It is also their way of providing uniforms made right here in Canada—for our everyday heroes.

Our Values

Proudly made in Canada

Every purchase supports the local economy. By choosing our uniforms, you directly contribute to job creation and the strengthening of our local industry. It’s a gesture that benefits our community and our collective future.

Re-Garde™ Fabric

Each piece is made from at least 10 plastic bottles discarded in nature and is antibacterial. Our goal: to provide softness and comfort to healthcare professionals with a four-way stretch fabric.
